'REBOOT' (PILOT 1.2)

Twan Janssen is an actor who plays the painter Twan Janssen.
The paintings he makes are props in the play of his career, and the gallerists, critics and collectors are supporting actors in this often ironic play, where distinctions between fiction and reality are blurred.

In 'REBOOT' (PILOT 1.2) Twan Janssen tries to tackle stereotypical givens in artists' lives such as fear of failure, the ambiguous relation of the artist to his own creations and a temporary lack of inspiration. Catalogues, best offs and compilations become the only formats left to him, running out of new ideas in a constant attempt to produce significant works while re-inventing the wheel.
